My name is Paul Wellman and I am dedicated to creating living environments that are green, environmentally friendly, energy efficient, non-allergenic and built to last for generations. I insist the finished product also be beautiful.

I believe that we each have an obligation to do what we can to save our planet if we are to turn things around. We cannot continue to pollute the earth’s air, water and soil. We must start to loosen our grip on our hydrocarbon fuel addiction. I also believe we can’t continue to denude the planet of trees just to put a roof over our heads.

I am not pessimistic about the potential outcome of the current situation. I believe through the vast technology growing up around us lies the answer to the worlds energy needs. One such technology is hydrogen fuel technology. This one technology will solve many of Man's age old problems. People’s needs to travel, have food on the table (be able to cook TV dinners in the microwave) and be warm/cool in your place of work and at home. I see nothing wrong with having any of these things. I just wish they were more accessible to all people and not the domain of a tiny fraction of us. Hydrogen fuel will do this and clean up the ever more polluted air we breath.

I have been a builder (in one form or other) for most of my life. I feel one of my obligations is to research new technology introduced into the building field. I must make sure I am building using techniques and materials that are environmentally friendly while still being cost effective. Green Earth Structures is the result of my research.

I believe using Cempo Forms (www.cempo.com) for exterior walls in conjunction with Cempo Floor Forms floor systems and steel roof systems is one of the best answers for construction on the market today. There is virtually no wood involved. Did I mention it is also VERY cost competitive and SUPER energy efficient.

The polyurethane roof (over the steel roof frame) makes a roof that is really hard to beat. I use two forms of polyurethane on the roof.

Sprayed Polyurethane Foam Roofing (http://roofingcontractors.com/links.html) is sprayed over metal decking to produce a roof superior to about anything I am aware of.

If the situation calls for stress skin panels Advance Foam Plastics - SpecLam (www.advancefoamp.com) is a great choice. I have been using SpecLam in my homes for more than fifteen years and have never had a complaint.

The combination of these technologies in Green Earth Structures makes them super insulated, structurally sound, maintenance free, non-allergenic, insect proof, fireproof and don’t forget very reasonably priced.

I feel that another of my obligations should be to see that everyone has the knowledge needed and the building materials available to make the right choices when it comes to one of their most valuable investments. Homes, offices or commercial buildings are some of the most environmentally sensitive as well as one of the most economically important investments of our lives. The extra effort and green energy (dollars) invested up front in ecologically sound building practices will pay you and the generation that inherits your wise investment great dividends.

My experience in the high-end custom home business assures that your structure can be as much of a dream home architecturally as you desire. For about twenty years I had a sawmill and built Scandinavian Scribe-fit logs all over the state of Colorado. I have buildings from four hundred square foot cabins to ten thousand square foot mansions under my belt. This experience allows me to include log roof / floor systems and log accents to make a Green Earth Structures unique.

Recently I completed a home in Noble, Oklahoma that is the culmination of my experience with all the different components of my building system. I am very proud of this home and am currently working with people in the Oklahoma City area on plans for energy efficient, green low income housing.

If your dream is a “do it yourself cottage” I can give as much or as little consulting as necessary. This could be on or off the building site. I would be happy to work with your Architect and/or contractor to get them up to speed using Green Earth Structures technology. I can handle any demand made.
