Out of all the green products on the market today I have selected Cempo Block, A custom steel frame (my own design) & Advance Foam Plastics to put together as the GreenEarth Building System. This blend of technology produces structures that are environmentally friendly, energy efficient, non allergenic, cost effective and strong enough to last for generations.

My fifteen years experience building custom log homes allows me to take these three products and blend them with log floor / roof systems and log accents to make these homes works of art. (See About Owner Page)

In addition these buildings will have the latest air to air heat exchangers, hepa filters and humidifiers to make these ultra tight buildings immune to "Sick House Syndrome".

All of these products meet or exceed current code requirements nation wide.

Cempo® is a concrete form system made of a lightweight material called THASTYRON, which provides a permanent framework for a grid of reinforced concrete that forms load-bearing walls, shear walls, stem walls, lintels, retaining walls, and other components of a building. NEW! Cempo® has just came out with a floor form system that is self supporting and promises to be a great addition to the GreenEarth Structures building system. THASTYRON offers the ultimate in properties for a wall, such as insulation, soundproofing, fire protection, all in one easy-to-install element. THASTYRON is also resistant against frost and against heat radiation. It does not entertain mold or attract nesting insects. 85% of its volume is recycled postconsumer polystyrene waste, which very likely would have ended up in landfills never to disappear.

 

I have developed a steel frame system to replace wooden floor and roof systems. This steel frame will be fabricated from steel that is manufacutered from recycled steel. I am researching recycling smelters to find the biggest percentage of recycled steel possible. This steel framing makes the building stronger. Bigger spans for floors and roofs are easy with the added strength of steel over wood. Bigger spans allow more flexability in design. Of course one of the biggest advantages of using steel is we are saving the last of the trees on the planet as green forests instead of green money.

Advance Foam Plastics - SpecLam is a manufacturer of expanded polystyrene insulation products and systems. These products have extreme thermal efficiency, are strong and are very easy to install. Their SpecLam and R Control stress skin panels make some of the most effective roof systems available. I chose these products to cap my structures with the best possible roof system available today.

Tarm produces boilers that can be fired with a variety of fuels. The addition of these products to your construction project assures that you will be able to heat you building and provide all the domestic hot water you will ever need, No matter what the weather or your gas or electric companies do. They also assure that this energy will not be subject to only one source. If wood is readily available (cheap) you can heat with wood. Tarm's high tech boilers operate at over 80% efficiency.
